A Significant Leap Forward in Phono Stage Design
Sonically, the 310LP conveys all the traditional Simaudio hallmarks: clean, powerful and fast. The 310LP delivers extended bass with an exquisitely open midrange and airy, extended highs. Available in either Black or Silver, the 310LP is the perfect complement to any analog rig. The strength of the 310LP is its extensive user adjustability; the 310LP offers an array of resistance, capacitance and gain adjustments. A true differential (balanced) circuit from input to output, the 310LP offers uncompromising performance. Housed in a custom-made, sturdy chassis with a 3/8” brushed and anodized aluminum front panel, the 310LP looks as good as it sounds. The 310LP works with virtually every MM and MC cartridge.
"When I listened to MoFi's outstanding mono release of Sinatra's Only the Lonely [through the 310LP], his every breath and turn of phrase were delivered with such effortless purity of resolution and natural tonality that there was an almost eerie sense of being able to walk into the studio with the musicians."
– Wayne Garcia, The Absolute Sound
The 310LP is built with a large, isolated internal power supply, placed on a separate circuit board and both physically and electrically isolated from the delicate analog circuits. With 2 stages of voltage regulation and a large, low-noise transformer and fastidious wire management, Simaudio is able to keep the 310LP's noise levels vanishingly low.
The 310LP is extremely adjustable, internal jumper selection offers tons of combinations: impedance loading (10, 100, 470, 1K and 47k ohms), capacitance loading (0, 100 and 470pF), gain settings (54, 60 and 66dB) Note: Add 6 dB of gain to these figures when using the balanced outputs. The 310LP features both balanced and single ended outputs, extremely short signal paths, a detachable IEC power cord, and low operational temperatures for extended life. In fact, the 310LP has a 10 Year Parts and Labor Warranty!
Simaudio is one of the few companies in the audio industry to build all their products in-house. Simaudio designs all their own circuit boards, allowing optimum placement of every meticulously selected component for excellent signal to noise ratios, very low signal loss and ultra-low distortion characteristics. Both the circuit board and power supply are mounted on a separate inner chassis for improved vibration control and are separated by a Mu-Metal shield. The transformer is a shielded toroidal design for low noise and high-current capability. Inside this unit, you’ll find all the adjustments necessary to mate this phono stage with any cartridge you own. Adjust gain, adjust loading, and even an adjustment for a subsonic filter if your table is not perfectly isolated and your woofers are shaking. Nothing has been overlooked! Your LPs will come to life like no other phono preamplifier you’ve heard!
After just a few records played through the 310LP, you will understand why we think so highly of this preamp. It may take up to 250-300 hours of actual playback to sound its best, but you’ll be impressed from the very first LP you play. We are convinced that you just cannot do better at this price point and we hope you will try one out in your own system. If you do not believe that you have gotten your money’s worth and then some… we’ll take it back! 100% Music Direct Guaranteed!
